Program and Curriculum
The Elegance In Style Training Program is a three day course for women who want to become fashion consultants. Its successful completion results in the certification "Successful Completion of the Elegance In Style Fashion Consultant Training Program." Successful Completion involves attendance in the 24 hours (three 8 hour days), passing the final examination, and working with a client in a consultation "practicum."
The Curriculum covers the essentials of the art of fashion consulting with a strong emphasis on the dignity of a client as a woman and not just as a consumer. Trainnees Classes include:
- The nature and history of fashion.
- The current fashion industry (structure, cycle, levels, advertising, etc.)
- Basic principles of materials and design.
- Strategies for creating an optical illusion of proportion based upon knowledge of body type.
- Determining styles for fashion personalities.
- Determining flattering colors
- Wardrobe analysis (closet cleaning!)
- Wardrobe design.
- Accessorizing.
- Fashion forecasting, planning, and shopping . (Creating a “Mood Board.”)
- Understanding the needs of the client.
- Description of services for clients, presentation practice and public speaking.
- Marketing services
- Ethics of fashion consulting.
- Basics of Etiquette
- Basics of hair, skin care, and makeup techniques
What else makes Elegance In Style different from all the others?
Elegance In Style wants you to begin your fashion consulting experiences right away! Therefore, training includes the materials to get you started either on an informal basis with women you know—or right away with a full-scale professional consulting service. These materials include:
- 2 texts with step by step instructions, background information, references, and Internet resources.
- Color analysis drapes, hand mirror, and tape measure.
- Master copies of booklets and brochures for all kinds of services that you can copy royalty-free.
- Access to telephone and email support from a “coach” on an as-needed basis.
